Fire & Ice Facial. Resurfacing.

What it is.

iS Clinical’s signature resurfacing facial, and our alternative to the Fresh Face Facial when you want something more active. It is built to refine texture and the look of uneven tone, with little downtime.

The protocol.

1. Triple cleanse. Three passes to lift makeup, sunscreen and oil, and to leave the skin ready for the masque. Steam is optional.
2. Intensive resurfacing masque. Applied in a thin layer with the eyes covered and left on for a few minutes. You may feel warmth; we check in throughout, and a fan is there if you want it.
3. Neutralize. The masque is stopped and removed, and the skin is cleansed again until the warmth settles.
4. Extractions, if wanted. Optional, and only where there is congestion to clear.
5. Rejuvenating masque. A second masque that goes on after the resurfacing step.
6. Hand and arm massage. A short, unscented or scented massage while the masque works.
7. Face, neck and décolleté massage. The longest part of the hour, and the part most people remember.
8. Serums, moisturizer and sunscreen. Chosen for your skin that day, then finished with SPF.

Fresh Face or Fire & Ice.

The Fresh Face Facial is dermaplane-led and calm, with no sensation to speak of. Fire & Ice is the one with a resurfacing masque. If you are not sure which suits your skin this month, we will tell you at the consult.

What to expect.

About an hour. You may feel warmth during the masque, and your skin may look pink or feel warm afterwards. Downtime is little. We tell you what to expect for your own skin before you leave.

Results & cadence.

We set how often to come in based on your skin, not a fixed schedule. A shorter version, the Express Fire & Ice, is one of the included signature treatments on The Luxe Skin Club.

Considerations.

We will reschedule rather than treat over active inflammatory acne or pustules in the area, an active cold sore, a sunburn, or a barrier that is already compromised. Recent isotretinoin is a wait, not a no. Tell us about any retinoid or acid you use so we can plan around it.
