Ariessence.Pure PDGF.

A bioengineered, recombinant PDGF applied topically after microneedling or laser — so the growth factor reaches the dermis through fresh microchannels. The molecule the body uses to repair itself, delivered where the skin is ready to receive it.

i. The protocol

What it is.

Ariessence is a recombinant Pure PDGF — platelet-derived growth factor — bioengineered to deliver one of the body's most active signaling molecules at a standardized, clinical-grade concentration. PDGF is what platelets release at a wound site to recruit fibroblasts and start the remodeling cascade. By isolating that signal as a single, purified molecule, Ariessence provides it without the variability of patient-drawn PRP.

Think of it as the active ingredient your blood is trying to deliver, isolated and standardized. The same regenerative cascade as PRP, with a consistent dose every visit.

How we use it — the SkinPen protocol.

Topical growth factor on intact skin is, in plain language, a moisturizer with an interesting label — the molecule can't reach the dermis through healthy stratum corneum. The protocol at Privé pairs Ariessence with a microchannel-creating procedure first: SkinPen microneedling, RF microneedling, fractional laser, or a medium-depth chemical peel. Ariessence is then applied immediately to the freshly treated skin, while the microchannels are still open. The growth factor reaches the dermis through those channels and begins signaling fibroblasts to proliferate.

This protocol mirrors the methodology of the Gold 2025 randomized clinical trial — the strongest available evidence for PDGF in aesthetics — which paired topical PDGF with post-Morpheus8 microneedling and demonstrated statistically significant skin improvement at 30 days versus a bland-emollient control.

What we treat.

  • Under-eye texture & tone — the most common application; remodels the thin periorbital skin where volume filler isn't ideal.
  • Periorbital crepiness — the fine "tissue paper" texture at the lateral canthus and lower lid.
  • Mid-face skin quality — improves overall dermal texture, not just volume.
  • Neck & décolleté — softens the texture of sun-exposed thin skin in zones volume filler rarely addresses well.
  • Hand rejuvenation — biologically remodels the dorsal hand skin.
  • Acne scars & atrophic texture — encourages dermal remodeling in areas of chronic damage.
  • Post-procedure recovery — accelerates the healing arc from any resurfacing treatment.

What to expect.

A SkinPen + Ariessence appointment is 60–90 minutes. Cleanse, topical numbing for 15–20 minutes, then the microneedling pass (or whichever microchannel procedure is on your plan), then Ariessence applied topically and allowed to absorb. Cool compress to finish. You leave with calm, slightly pink skin — the same look as a SkinPen session on its own, just with the growth-factor finish.

The visible improvement is gradual: skin tone clarifies over 2–4 weeks, fine-line and texture refinement builds over 8–12 weeks as new collagen organizes. Photos at week 8 are when most patients can see the difference clearly.

Results & cadence.

Most patients see best results from a series of 2–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Maintenance is typically a single session every 6–9 months. Pairs well with EZGel for clients wanting both autologous plasma gel and the standardized growth-factor signal — different mechanisms, complementary effects.

Considerations.

Common: light redness and warmth from the underlying microneedling or laser pass, resolving in 24–48 hours. Less common: transient pinpoint bruising if the microneedling pass goes deeper than usual. Ariessence is deferred during pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin infection at the site, severe systemic illness, and known sensitivity to recombinant growth factor products. For advanced applications, we discuss the full range of options at consultation.

Who performs it.

Every Ariessence protocol at Privé is performed by Elizabeth Hurley, RN, BSN, CANS — a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist with periorbital and skin-quality experience. Procedures are MD-supervised by our Medical Director.

Not a filler. A signal.

iv.

Recombinant PDGF reaching the dermis through fresh microchannels tells your skin to repair, regenerate, rebuild. The molecule is identical to the one your body already makes — we just provide more of it, in the moment the skin is ready to use it.
